A 76th Regiment of Foot Officers Coatee Button 1830-55

A rare gilt closed back button from an officer’s full dress coatee. Made by Jennens & Co, London. Complete with shank to the reverse and displaying an elephant below a Victorian crown with the Roman numerals LXXVI beneath , all within a half laurel wreath and the battle honours Hindoostan and Peninsula above. Good condition with minor wear to gilt on high points.
