A 66th or Berkshire Regiment of Foot Officers Coatee Button 1830-55
A scarce example of an officer’s closed back gilt button worn on the full dress coatee. Made by Charles Jennens, London. Complete with shank and displaying an Arabic 66 below a crown and within a laurel wreath design worn between 1830 and 1855. Virtually no original fire gilt is now evident on the button with wear to high points.
