Watercolour portrait of Capt. Charles Edward Conyers, 2nd Dragoon Gds

Captain Conyers is seen wearing the distinctive red coatee and blue trousers with massive gold bullion fringe epaulettes and pouch belt. The portrait is dated 1847 when Conyers was still a Leiutenant and shows him in a commanding pose with his hand on his waist and the hilt of his sword just visible.
A simple yet extremely pleasing small portrait that is currently unframed although we are happy to undertake any requests to frame.
