A 43rd or Monmouthshire Light Infantry Regiment of Foot Officer’s Coatee Button
A rare gilt closed back example of an officers button worn on the full dress coatee circa 1830 through 1855. Made by Jennens & Co, London. Complete with shank to the reverse and displaying a crown over a strung bugle-horn with an Arabic 43 in the centre. In fair condition with some loss of gilt, the design remains crisp.
