A 48th or Northamptonshire Regiment of Foot Officer’s Coatee Button
A very scarce large closed back gilt button from an officer’s full dress coatee circa 1830 through 1855. Made by Jennens & Co, London. Complete with a shank to the reverse and displaying the design of an Arabic 48 below a crown within a wreath. Above the crown the battle honour Peninsula and below the wreath Talavera. In near mint condition.
