Grenadier Guards Regency Shako Plate

A Grenadier Guards NCOs Regency Shako Plate worn in the 1820s and comprising a silver (white metal) eight pointed star with the Hanovarian Royal Arms with a crown and lion above and below a ribbon with the Latin inscription DIEU ET MON DROIT which translates to God and my right, all in rich dead gilt with burnished high points.
The reverse shows age discoloration with traces of verdigris and a backing plate with eyelets at 9.00 and 3.00 for attachment to the Regency shako. Overall in very nice condition and suffice to say an extremely rare shako plate to a premier regiment in the British Army.
