21st Royal North British Fusiliers Albert Shako Grenade

A 21st Royal North British Fusiliers Officer’s Albert Shako Grenade comprising a large gilt brass flaming grenade device with the Royal Arms in the centre flanked by a lion and unicorn with a lion and crown above and below the Latin inscription DIEU ET MON DROIT ,meaning “god and my right”.
The reverse retains its original fixing lugs at 9.00 and 3.00 o’clock but is missing the fixing wires located on the flame. Age discolored and the gilt is worn in a few places on the high points and on the surface of the grenade but overall a very nice and rare to find Albert shako grenade.
