A 39th or Dorsetshire Regiment of Foot Officer`s Coatee

A 39th or Dorsetshire Regiment of Foot Officer`s Coatee circa 1850`s comprisng scarlet melton cloth with white kerseymere turn backs and edging laced with gold regimental pattern lace on the collar and cuffs which are faced in green.
Overall in very good condition for its age and given the absence of any skirt flashes can be accurately dated to the Crimean period where the 39th took an active role taking part in the seige of Sebastopol in the winter of 1854
