A 7th or Royal Fusiliers Regiment of Foot Officers Coatee Button 1830-55
A very scarce gilt closed back slightly convex example of an officer’s button from the full dress coatee. Made by Firmin & Sons, London. Complete with shank to the reverse and displaying in low relief the design of a rose within a crowned garter, inscribed “Honi soit mal y pense” , in the centre of the rose an Arabic 7. Good condition with some loss of gilt to the high points of the button.
