A 38th or Staffordshire Regiment of Foot Officers Coatee Button 1830-55
A scarce example of a gilt closed back officer’s coatee button. Made by F.& S. Firmin, 153, Strand, London. Complete with shank to the reverse and displaying the simple design of an Arabic 38 below a Victorian crown and the Staffordshire knot below. Average condition with most of the gilt missing from the surface area of the button.
