A Georgian Campaign Folding Toast Rack 1st Quarter 19th Century

A very rare officers sheffield plate folding toast rack presumably used by officers whilst campaigning on active duty. The rack is well made and can accomodate up to six slices of toast. Items of this nature are very rare to find and whilst perhaps falling within the novalty area of collecting are a fascinating addition to any collection of early campaign furniture and essentials. The toast rack neatly folds in half to enable it to be packed away for transportation.
Overall in excellent condition with no visible signs of copper bleed often associated with sheffield plated items.
